M.I.S.O.L. Tribe - Art and Music

"And as these visions of stone temples turn to projects we are the remnants of ancient tribal descendants with bandannas on their head instead of feather head dresses and knotted cloaks to pendletons, white t-shirts and Ben Davis..." - I.T.S.

The It Takes Skills crew rises from the smoking mist of the East Los Angeles housing projects. Since its birth in 1984, the I.T.S. tribe has responded to the outcries of injustices in the community through the neutralization of the walls with aerosol instruments, encompassing and limiting their struggles for equality,

In 1997, their identity resided in the same way, inside the shadows found in the lyrics and murals inside the soul portrayed in all facets of I.T.S. works. With instincts to survive in the project streets; ghetto style dreams has molded these artists to walk with Sun under Moon's light. Inside the skull is family all are related, forming an intricate part of the circle. In the spirit of those warriors who have walked before us, as Indigena Tribal Soldiers we are impelled into a journey in search of self. In the four directions of the earth and its four colors of nations, as a people we must go back to the land, back to the Sun and as Xikanos back to Aztlan. All people of all nations must go back to Mother Earth to live in peace and harmony. Time has come, we are here.

With Song extracted through deep, tribal, enrooted beats containing intricate samples that articulate loquaciously with vocal convictions, I.T.S. flourish their life experience, reaching other warriors in the fight for peace and harmony and the balance in our barrios and hoods. Their song is Hip-Hop, it is revolution.

Aspiration circumvents through powerful, positive vibrations with messages of self-determination and decolonization, challenging the system that keeps us oppressed and depressed.

Their soon to be released album "Sun Shines in Shadowed Souls, Dreaming in Circles" included the single "Viviendo” that depicts barrio youth living as almas perdidas in East LosT Angeles.
